  We visited several villages and must mention the Falconry Centre 

  which looks small at the Entrance

  but spans over 40 acres and has 150 spicies of birds

 The Lodge at Ketton Park has been superbly designed and furbished for a luxurious break. The owners Mike & Carol went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed without being at all intrusive. Excellent hosts!Loved the breakfast pack (still had some left after 4 days!)

Lovely location and as we are bird watchers and golf players we were quite spoilt. 4 golf courses close by, one overlooking the beautiful Rutland water(all very reasonable and welcoming)

Woodpecker always seemed in the garden!Too many species to mention but watched a Kite on several occasions.

Osprey visits Rutland water during the season! Make sure you visit the owl sanctury close by well worth the short trip.

Fascinating many old world villages close by for finding something different, with plenty of choice in restaurants and pubs.
Mike and Carol have really done their homework well with all the info you will need at your fingertips at the lodge.
